Crafting a 2024 weekend travel wardrobe is the ultimate capsule challenge. You must pack light but with purpose. You need options. You want every outfit to sing. You only have so much luggage space. You are going to nail this. I am going to help you.
Here is my one carry-on packing strategy for three days and two nights of adult quality fun in the sun. It includes only 10 core garments: two bathing suits, one dress, two bottoms, three tops, and one tie-front kimono. To complement this, we have two pairs of shoes (flip-flops don’t count) and seven accessories. With this assortment, you can create no less than 10 outfits.

A print bikini top will peek out from a tie-front kimono as an accent over white jeans. Voilà! Two extra outfits. Think pool bar, hotel lobby, casino floor.

A versatile essential that screams summer. In the past, I’ve reached for a chambray option; this year, I am all about a light, breezy, oversized button-down. Throw it over your bathing suit at the pool bar, drape it over your dress to warm your shoulders after the sun goes down, or wear it buttoned up with matching white shorts.
Fun Print Tank + Matching Skirt
Another new addition to my essential summer travel capsule is the very trendy matching print skirt set. I strive for versatility when packing for vacation, and the ability to wear a set together as one outfit or in parts to create additional options just makes sense.
Crochet Dress
A comfy/sexy summer-weight, easy-to-pack, wrinkle-resistant dress is a vacation (and summertime) must-have. This summer, crochet texture is trending, and I love it because the combination of color and texture feels fresh and modern.
White Jeans
