The Essential Holiday Party Preparedness Plan
Situation: Party Panic
It’s 11AM on a Thursday in mid December and your husband calls to remind you that his company holiday party (that he never told you about) is tonight at 6PM.
Do not panic. With this easy to execute holiday party preparedness plan you’ll emerge from your office bathroom looking festive #AF in fifteen minutes flat.
Step 1: Apply White Strips
If it’s a party, there will be pictures. Capsice?
Smile wide, apply these and proceed with steps 2 – 10.
Step 2: Bronze, Aggressively
Unless your BFF is a Bronze Berry rep, your skin is probably pasty.
Massage a generous (and I mean generous) serving of bronzing lotion into your legs and immediately wash your hands.
Don’t forget to wash your hands.
Trust me.
Step 3: Step Into Sequins
Pair this timeless holiday staple with nearly any top, from a slouchy tee to a classic white button down for an instantly chic ensemble.
Plus, sequins don’t wrinkle, so even if it’s been sitting in your desk drawer all month, your good.
Step 4: The Peek-a-Boo Pedi
In a true party emergency, opt for a metallic peep toe and use your polish to fake a pedicure on the exposed toes only.
Hey – it will do.

Step 5: Add Impact Accessory
Chandelier earrings, statement necklace or an arm full of bling bangles: Pick one and be done.
If you chose bangles, take them off until you complete steps #6 - #7.
Try: Stella & Dot Gala Statement Necklace
Step 6: Breathe Deeply. Apply Liner.
Take this next step very slowly.
Using a light hand, draw a line of dots from mid lid to end. Connect the dots. Now draw a small line upwards from top of upper lash lash line. Draw another line from lower lash line and meet top line at tip to create a triangle. Fill in the triangle with eyeliner.
MEOW.
Step 7: Strengthen Lash Game
Fake lashes are hands down amazing for elevating your eye game. First, remove fake lashes from pack and use your desk scissors to trim if necessary. Dot lash glue along edge of fake lashes. Wait 15 seconds. Lightly place far end of fake lash on top of natural lash. Press lightly. Repeat on other side. Repeat on other eye.
Don’t worry, the glue dries clear.
Step 8: Highlight Your Face
Using a small makeup brush, tap iridescent highlight powder on the inner arch of both eyebrows, down the bridge of your nose, on top of lip and over cheekbones.
You can thank me later tonight after you look at your pictures.
Step 9: Red Lips
I don’t want to hear about how you don’t wear red lipstick. There is a red lip for every skin tone. Ask the girl at Ulta to help.
Now put it on. Go to party. Look festive.
Step 10: Grab Your Bag
Your party clutch only needs to be big enough to fit your phone, credit cards and lippy.
Metallic is recommended but if you have a cute and semi clean cosmetic case – make it work.

Voila!
BAM! Party perfect. Now get out there and make merry.
Just don’t forget to ditch the white strips.
