What’s in this spring? NOT being inside.

This spring, getting back out into the real world is in. Stopping and smelling the flowers is in. Spending time with loved ones is in. I’m dreaming up intentional, chic picnic parties fueled by rose wine, fresh fruit, and frenzy fashion. Whether on the beach, in the neighborhood park, or in your own backyard- a picnic can be made a special occasion. And what do we do on special occasions? We dress for them.

So what are we wearing to these picnics?

Comfortable flowy linen dresses, easy rompers, or wide-leg jeans and a voluminous blouse are a few foolproof outfit bases for spring. For the picnic, a straw hat and a sturdy woven picnic bag are MUST-HAVES and will take you from your springtime picnic to summer beach days. Finish it off with unlimited accessories, a strong pair of sunnies, and a pink lip. Select shoes, like slip-on sandals or mules, that are easy to slip on and off so you can get your feet in the grass or toes in the sand.

As the natural world is warming and lightening up, spring 2021 colors are too. Warm pastels and pretty pinks take us away into a chic, groovy, feminine spring vibe. Go ahead and put your rose-colored glasses on, stock your picnic baskets, and head outside to soak up the sun and breathe the fresh air. And don’t forget the sunscreen. Putting all electronics away is recommended… so no... there will not be a zoom invite.
