MOOTD: Pallet Cleanser

Every girl needs a camel workhorse

Every girl needs a camel workhorse

Have you noticed I wear a lot of black white and gray? The mystery retailer  noted this trend when I was picking my garments and challenged me to select something blue. I refused and grabbed what I thought was a gray and black ombré mohair sweater.

Turns out the darn thing was blue after all, which posed a problem for weeks because I owned no neutral winter footwear.

Until last week when I was forced to buy a new pair of Loeffler Randall Matilde boots after a ruthless lost and found purge at my yoga studio sent my (originally) $695 boots to a surprised Goodwill shopper. So why did I buy boots in semi-neutral "olive"  and not completely coordinating black? Well the black pair was $695 and olive was marked down to $209. I'll dye them black next season for $50.

All of this adds up to the first of a few outfits grounded in navy blue (and olive).
